Diptyque Canary Warf

A Valentine’s Day Celebration for Diptyque

French beauty and lifestyle brand Diptyque has announced the Valentine’s Day opening of a new boutique in Canary Wharf, their first presence at the heart of London’s thriving business district. The boutique has been designed in the style of a Parisian apartment, echoing the founding spirit of the first Diptyque boutique at 34 boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris. The floor is in reclaimed wood, and the walls are clad in two types of tinted oak in a checkered design inspired by the geometrical patterns used in Berthod Lubetkin’s Modernist architecture.

Diptyque’s classic black and white branding is offset with warm colours and materials with a central table lacquered in soft coral and a large scale frieze hand-painted by French artist Charlotte Bohn on the fragrance counter wall. The new boutique will offer an extensive range of Diptyque perfumes and home fragrance, bath and body products, as well as exclusive personalisation, engraving and a capsule decoration collection.

aétai eau de parfum by source adage fragrances

For Perfume Lovers

New York-born niche fragrance brand, source adage, has arrived in the UK just in time to warm up your Valentine’s Day with its evocative, gender-inclusive scents. Among the acclaimed collection is the seductive, aétai eau de parfum. With its spicy, floral notes layering soft woods and amber accords, aétai is an enveloping floral scent for all. The brand's co-founders/noses personally crafted the sophisticated fragrance around the concept of complementary contrasts. Its name, in fact, derives from an indigenous language of New England meaning, “on both sides”. Contrasts that strike the right balance between light and dark, earthy and strident, romantic and sensual accords, that evolve on the skin in a wonderfully swoon-worthy fashion.

Pursuing their love of Italy and their passion for fragrance making, source adage opened the stylish “adage studio olfattivo” in Tuscany, where it creates its scents and hand-crafts its home fragrance collection for the European/UK market. Duo Boreal salt and pepper mills

Spice Mills with a Twist

With a sleek contemporary profile, these mills come in a range of colours: the pepper mills in celestial blue, rock grey, fern green and hazel, and the salt mills in paler pastel complementary sage green, pebble grey and feather white – all with a natural wooden head. At the heart of the pepper mill lies Peugeot's lifetime guaranteed steel mechanism, while the salt mill features a simple adjustment system to control the size of the ground salt crystals.

Café Solo PX

A World-First PX Sherry Cask Coffee Liqueur

Following on from their original coffee liqueur and ready-to-drink espresso martini cans, Café Solo has launched a world-first Pedro Ximénez Sherry (PX) Cask Finished Coffee Liqueur. Café Solo PX is a cask-finished coffee liqueur made with premium ground SOLO Cold Brew Coffee, which boasts a full-bodied flavour profile, rich acidity, and a refreshingly clean finish. For the new liqueur, Café Solo is matured for a year in PX Sherry casks, giving a residual sweetness and rich, dried-fruit notes.

Made from the sun-dried Pedro Ximénez grapes in Jerez Spain, PX Sherry is intensely sweet and rich. PX casks are often repurposed to age or "finish" whiskies and other spirits, imparting their residual sweetness and rich, dried-fruit notes. These casks are prized for the intense flavours they produce, transforming the profiles of other liquids. The drink is indulgent and dessert-like, with the PX Sherry Cask adding layers of depth, and complexity, with notes of rich toffee, fig, walnut and lemon.

Café Solo PX is available via Amazon and cafesolo.co.uk at an RRP of £32
